A fishing license is a key requirement under the State of Wyoming. A license can be acquired simply with an ID and Social Security Number. We can support you in getting one if needed. We will also be providing you with the necessary equipment such as flies, rods, waders, reels and boots for fishing. If you prefer to bring your own gear, we completely understand and welcome that choice!
Lunch and drinks are provided during the trip, so prepare yourself for a truly scrumptious meal! The food is professionally prepared to ensure you are filled and ready for the activities ahead. Warm or hot drinks will also be provided during the colder weather conditions to warm you up.
Summer Months
We recommend lighter clothing in the summer that will protect from the heat as it can get rather hot in Jackson Hole. A long-sleeved shirt, polarized sunglasses, shorts, baseball hat, light pants, socks, and raincoat are all great ideas. A raincoat is always useful to bring along as the weather can be unpredictable in Jackson Hole, so it is not unusual for it to rain at anytime during the day. With the weather change in mind, a sweatshirt or light jacket can be useful during the fall season with the chilly mornings and evenings.
Our rivers hold a variety of fish species including whitefish, cutthroats, rainbows, brookies and browns. On an average day, you should expect to capture around four rainbows and one brown, depending on the time of day. The fish can be about 17 inches long, and we can collectively catch over 20 fish on full-day fishing trips.
Bad weather will not affect your trip as fishing is an activity that can take place in any weather conditions. However, if the weather condition is unfavorable to you, then we can cancel the trip and reschedule for another day. The weather is unpredictable, and its not uncommon to have heavy rain in the morning but a beautifully sunny afternoon. From this, we advise visitors to wait for the opinion of our guides before cancelling trips. You should also come prepared for the chance of weather changes, such as wearing layers. A backpack is also a good idea, holding all your important documents such a your fishing license.
